Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. Giant trees welcome you down the drive back to the cabin in the woods. The cabin, along with my house and a small cottage reside on the 2 1/2 acre property. A contemporary cabin of steel and pine with vaulted ceiling and sky lights. Open living space, inviting queen size bed, luxury rain shower, full kitchen but no stove. A wood burning fireplace- fall through end of March and outside fire pit. Public beach a 5 minute drive away. Couples check out the cabin for anniversaries & special days.

B's Retreat is a 1940's 700 sq ft cottage on a quiet dead-end street. It is 1 block from downtown UP! B's is sandwiched between rentals and vacation homes, so perfect for a family of 4 or 1-2 couples/friends looking to unwind. B's best attributes are the vaulted ceilings, wide-plank pine floors, bonus kids loft, hot tub, fire pit & the 23-foot wide screened in porch! B's is a .4-mile / 10-minute walk down Townline Rd. to the public beach. Parking is available at beach for early birds!

The Birdhouse – quiet luxury, walk everywhere

The Birdhouse is on a quiet wooded ravine steps from restaurants, shopping and a lovely 0.7 mile walk to the beach. This home hosts 4 guests only, including infants. Enjoy a screened-in porch with views to the woods, an outdoor eating area with grill, lovely terrace with firepit and laundry room. Bedrooms are cozy and comfortable. The bathroom features a luxurious rain shower with hand shower for junior guests. To allow our cleaning crew time to prepare, we're unable to offer early check-ins.

Modern Minimalist Tiny House

Welcome to our modern minimalist tiny house located a half mile from Warren Dunes State Park beach and 1.5 miles from all that Sawyer Michigan area has to offer. Tiny is the second dwelling on this property and is technically a mobile tiny house. While we do have electricity and water, much like an RV the drains run to holding tanks. This means VERY LIMITED WATER USE for showers and toilet flushing. It features a fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, and a queen bed in the small loft.

Beach Bird Cottage- 5min walk to the lake! 3BR/1BA

Dear friends, Welcome to Beach Bird Cottage, situated on a quiet street with other vintage cottages in the heart of Union Pier. It is an easy 5-minute walk to an association beach. The cottage has many updates, including a new kitchen, bathroom, washer/dryer, outdoor shower and a wood stove. The master and second bedroom each have queen-size beds and the children's bedroom has two twin beds. Enjoy an early swim before breakfast or have an evening beach picnic under the sunset.
