Stag Cottage (built C1580) is a beautiful, quaint, historic Grade II Listed building hidden away in the ancient, hilltop Pennine village of Heptonstall. Stag Cottage oozes charm and retains many original features, including stone mullioned windows, arched lintels, wooden beams and a king post truss with wattle and daub infill. Surrounded by stunning views & beautiful countryside we’re ideally placed to visit; The Piece Hall, Shibden Hall, Hebden Bridge and Howarth. Built in 1890 & designed by Edward Wainhouse, of Wainhouse Tower; we have 2 comfy double beds, are stylishly decorated & fully kitted out with everything you need for a short break. Plus you’ll find luxury toiletries and treats on arrival.

We converted the Old Piggery over 20 years ago, and have recently done a full refurbishment. It now has a cosy snug with a sofa as well as a lounge with far-reaching views. There is an ensuite bathroom and downstairs, a shower and toilet. The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor with a king-sized, chunky farmhouse bed with an extremely comfortable mattress. The lounge area has a Laura Ashley sofa and snuggle chair positioned to take in a far-reaching views or a 43 inch TV if you prefer!
