Located just a few minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the ski gondola and the bustling night life of South Lake Tahoe. We are full-time residents of the home up the hill from the guest house; we chose this location for its sense of seclusion and privacy. Sugarloaf Madrone Studio is tucked into the slope of Sugarloaf Mountain, overlooking the 7 Hills of Nevada City. It is a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk to downtown restaurants, arts, and nightlife. Despite its proximity, you will feel like you are in the country with pastoral views, local parks, and a quiet neighborhood. You will share the house with a totally separate apartment on the ground level. The Madrone Studio is great for rest, relaxation, and being close to nature.

Owned and operated by me, a local Auburn resident, it's easy to feel at home while on the road. From an extensively stocked kitchen, oversized towels down to night lights so that you can find your way to that midnight snack without stubbing a toe.
