Bird's Nest Cozy Farm Getaway

The Birds Nest is an above-the-garage studio apartment with a view of the valley and our working farm. Located at the end of a quiet dirt road, our 36 acres provide a respite for the body and soul with trails and vistas, and engage the mind in sustainable agriculture with a discount on our Farm Tour & Tasting. Our water is from a well. It is tested regularly and is completely safe though it can have a sulfur smell at times. There is an RO filter/faucet in the kitchen for drinking water.

We are conveniently located 10 miles from downtown Grand rapids, 5 miles from Grandvalley State university and 30 miles from the lake Michigan shoreline. There are many places to shop, restaurants, breweries, and parks within a 5- 15 minute drive. So close to town but it feels so remote. Come check out our farm store full of local goodness!

Come stay in this unique 2 bed 2 bath apartment within the worlds second largest castle. Our amenities include an outdoor heated pool (Closed September 15th), library, game room, & fitness room. Want to spend the day at the lakeshore? It's only 30mins away. Or go downtown for events, concerts, restaurants, breweries and more. We are just 8 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids. This unit has designated parking close by, keyless entry, short walk to the apartment from parking for easy access.

Tiny House In the City

**Important to note: we are currently undergoing an exterior landscape renovation to be complete late Spring of 2026.** Welcome to our tiny home! In 2019 my husband and I set out to renovate this old pool house into a self-sustainable apartment or tiny home in our backyard. As you can imagine… things did not turn out the way we intended and construction was completed in the fall of 2020! The amenities are not lacking within the space and we know you will feel at home!

The Amberg House - a Frank Lloyd Wright Original

Staying in a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is a bucket list item for fans of America's most acclaimed architect. The Amberg House was completed in 1911 at the pinnacle of Wright's Prairie Style influence. Though every Wright home is special, the Amberg House is a unique collaboration between Wright and Marion Mahony. Mahony worked with Wright from 1896 until 1909. A graduate of MIT, she was the first woman to be licensed as an architect in the US.

Green Acres: Your Home Among the Trees

Steeped in nature, the gazebo provides a get away into nature, with its double bed and intimate sized room this is a wonderful space for 2 to be immersed in a peaceful environment. Whether you came here to rest & revive or to explore there is plenty to be had! The gazebo has a nearby compostable toliet (shared with other guests), and just a 1 minute walk on a path in the woods to the main house (where the full bathroom is that can be used 9am-8pm).

Upstairs unit 5 Bed and 2.5 Bath

"Central to it all" this upper unit of the home is ideally located between the Michigan lakeshore and the city of Grand Rapids. The 2800sq ft house has two-level units, an upper and lower unit. Both units have their private entrance and privacy. The interior is newly renovated. Once you book, you will be the only guest in this house, but you can only access the upper unit. The owner lives nearby, so they are quick to respond if there is an issue!
