Welcome to our home! We have upgraded our Garden (lower) Level to host travelers much like ourselves and long-term guests. The view of our backyard is incredible! You will find yourself lost in the country, yet less than ten minutes from all the excitement that Madison has to offer. Along with a private drive and entrance, you will have 1,000 square feet of comfort all to yourselves. This property is perfect for a quiet getaway we all need from time to time. All designed with you in mind.

Cabin on the Trail

Kick back and relax in this cozy space with up north, cabin vibes. In the summer months enjoy the excellent fishing and boating and in the winter have fun ice fishing on beautiful Fox Lake! *Please read the full description and look at all of the pictures of the property *Not suitable for parties or loud gatherings. Please note, there is a 4 person maximum *All dogs/pets must be pre-approved by the host. There is a $50 pet fee/stay. *Check out our “cottage on the trail”, closer to the lake.

Just a block from Main Street - with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance - and the beautiful Rock River. The location is perfect - whether you're visiting Jefferson County or looking for a home base between Madison and Milwaukee.

Fox River Barn is located in a picturesque setting with stunning views of the Fox River in Princeton, WI. This 1940s barn has been lovingly converted into a comfortable living space with modern features and amenities, making it the perfect retreat for a romantic getaway or a peaceful escape from the city. Inside, the bones of the barn are present. From beams and rafters on the main level to the tall, gable barn ceiling. Just imagine all the different ways the barn had been used over time.

Chargrill available. Bring your own charcoal. Living room with TV, dining area, kitchen & pantry, bathroom, & bedroom with a queen size bed on main level. The "loft" upstairs has 2 bedrooms, 1 with 2 twin beds , & the other space with a queen size bed and a reading area that opens up to your own private balcony.

Get ready for summer in a quiet relaxing lakefront location. Experience a quiet peaceful retreat year around on Beaver Dam. Summer and shoulder season includes the use of 3 kayaks, canoe and 3 paddle boats. 20' dock for fishing or swimming. New deck with great lake view and pellet grill. The beds consist of 1 King, 1 Queen, 3 Twins and 1 rollaway for a total of 8 allowable guests. No add'l bedding/sleeping bags or airbeds are allowed for extra guests due to septic limitations.

It's a great hub for hiking with the following all within 15 - 35 minutes: Devil's Lake, Parfrey's Glen, Gibralter Rock (ice age tr) & Mirror Lake.

With a comfortable and quiet interment, this is the perfect spot to fish, enjoy the lake and wildlife, socialize around a campfire, finally read that book by the lake while the sun is setting, creating lifetime of memories. This is what The Shack Cottage can provide for you. Not suitable for parties or loud gatherings.
