Welcome to The Best Dam Cabin! We're located on the San Marcos River, just a short drive to Austin and San Antonio. This hand-built tiny cedar cabin is nestled inside an early 1900’s cotton gin. Includes unlimited river access and the use of paddle boards/kayaks with your stay. Whether you want to get away and read a good book near the river, go fishing or play games with the family, there's fun for everyone of all ages. The Lonesome Dove Lake Cabin

Cabin on the North side of the lake, that is independently owned, managed, and maintained. A bedroom downstairs with a full size Nectar adjustable bed. A loft upstairs with a queen size comfortable bed. There is also a couch in the living room that folds down into a bed. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. No parties. Pets are allowed with approval. Plenty of parking. Rates are cheaper when you rent for more than one night. Checkout is at noon. Word Permit L1628

Our quarter log cabin is nestled on 10 acres. It sits on a western facing hillside overlooking the Fischer valley. Its a great place to get away from the city and crowds! Its location is very quiet and secluded. Go for a walk down the hiking trails where you may see deer, squirrels, hummingbirds, roadrunners, rabbits, grey foxes, lizards, butterflies.... Relax with your favorite beverage on the covered front porch where you can see amazing sunsets and the stars at night.
