I’m the owner of Cleveland Rocks and Beads. I started making a little side money creating and repairing jewelry while I was getting my BS in psychology and minor in Asian studies. I had no idea when I left Ohio State to work in Japan that I would spend the next 25 years going back and forth to Asia creating a bead and jewelry import company. Eventually, I decided to settle in Cleveland with my family where I opened a bead store. My bead stringing classes come with tales of my adventures in Japan, China, Korea, Tibet, Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, Bangladesh and the Philippines where I explored history and culture and sourced rocks, beads, and jewelry. I often discuss Ayurvedic stone beliefs as well as Buddhist traditions about the color of stones as they relate to chakras and karmic transformation of the individual wearer.
