Join Loch owner, chef and gardener Brigid Kennedy on a tour of the farm before enjoying lunch in the garden or by the fire using produce sourced from The Loch’s own fields and garden, with award-winning local beverages. Inclusions: • A 1-hour farm tour in which small-farm guru Brigid Kennedy will provide insights into the paddock-to-plate ethos and her vision for a sustainable farming future. • A set 3-course lunch using ingredients freshly harvested from the farm, with a local cool-climate wine or craft brew. • A sample to take home from our range of jams, preserves or chutneys made from farm-grown produce. Features: • Learn about the best methods of growing food for the table and why in-season ingredients taste best, with plenty of time to chat and ask questions. • Stroll through the abundant gardens, with herbs and vegetables growing amongst stunning native and exotic blooms. • Get up close to the farm animals. • Enjoy stunning rural views and see native kangaroos and wallabies. • Taste ripe fruits and vegetables straight from the garden. • Relax under the vines on the verandah and enjoy an exquisite lunch made from the ingredients you have seen growing on the farm.

I'm a chef, author, gardener and owner of The Loch in Berrima - a small farm with a paddock-to-plate restaurant serving an ever-changing menu crafted from in-season ingredients harvested from my own fields and paddocks. I trained at Le Cordon Bleu, London and La Varenne, Paris. I ran the successful Simmer Cafe in Potts Point for 3 years before opening Simmer Events & Catering in 1997, creating some of Sydney's most tantalising celebrations. In 2018 I moved permanently to Berrima to build The Loch into the foodie hub of the Southern Highlands. I've written 2 books, All Fired Up and Small Food.

Nestled in rolling green hills, The Loch is a working farm and garden in Berrima, in the NSW Southern Highlands. Within the converted barn sits The Tasting Room, an authentic paddock-to-plate restaurant serving only seasonal ingredients sourced from the fields and garden, and a farm gate market selling freshly harvested produce, flowers, meat and eggs, along with house-made cakes, jams and chutneys and hand-restored antiques.

We offer an 11am garden tour, followed by a 3-course lunch or a 1pm lunch followed by a 2pm garden tour. Guests also have the option to enjoy their lunch after the 2pm tour
