Find an optimal state of exertion while paying unique attention to the body and mechanics of the mind. * Regroup after each interval with high fives and encouragement. Then ascends with a new focus of mindfulness. * Take in the fantastic view of Los Angeles, the Pacific Ocean, and Catalina Island at the summit. * Gently descend past the waterfall to an oak grove. * Sit for a short meditation to observe our bodies and minds at rest.

Temescal Canyon is a beautiful wilderness area just 15 minutes north of Santa Monica. The base of the canyon is full of large oak, birch, and eucaliptus trees; and the hills are covered with the classic variety of California chaparral and flowers. The loop trail is 3.4 miles long.
