Om verten din

I’ve lived in the SW for my whole life and started exploring rock art and Native American sites at a very young age. As a child I was even adamant about contacting the park service to report the destruction and theft of petroglyphs in Saguaro National Park. I majored in anthropology and worked as an Archaeologist in N AZ for a number of years. I was fortunate to be part of a discovery of one of…

Dette skal vi gjøre

You will be following me on both pavement & dirt roads. We’ll caravan thru Sunset Crater National Monument, passing thru lava flows & volcanoes that erupted as recently as 900 years ago. As we drop towards the painted desert the vistas will expand and seem near endless. After leaving the pavement you’ll follow me along the Little Colorado River (typically dry). Once we park our vehicles we’ll…

Her skal du være

We'll explore the Little Colorado River drainage near Wupatki National Monument. The Little Colorado River was a very important travel corridor for Native Americans for thousands of years. The area has no official trials, is in a semi remote and beautiful area bordering the Navajo Reservation. This area is special because it contains a history of progression from before the advent of the bow& arrow all the way to the re-introduction of horses.
