Located outside a small, quiet hamlet (altitude 800 metres) at the end of a winding road, the south-facing barn enjoys panoramic views of the mountains, and is surrounded by fields and woods - with no vis-à-vis! Entirely renovated using ecological materials, the gîte retains all the charm and authenticity of a Pyrenean dwelling, but with all the comfort of a purpose-built gite. The barn caters to everybody – couples, solos, families with children, and walkers with their four-legged friends.

Welcome to Le Playras, a Shangri-la in the Pyrenees, a secret nest formed by a group of traditional and authentic mountain shepherd huts sitting at 1.100m altitude! A paradise for mountain hikers and nature lovers. The trail around the Biros valley (tour du Biros) passes in front of the door. You can hike right away from home and get on foot onto a network of trails connecting to the GR.10 and the Spanish border. Jump in cold waterfalls and streams or go for mushroom or blueberry picking.

Ce hameau est composé d une quinzaines de granges anciennes toutes plus belles les unes que les autres, lui donnant un charme indéfinissable ! Le GR de Pays (tour du Biros) passe devant notre maison. Beautiful and comfortable apartment in the center of Esterri d’Àneu, one of the best areas in the Pyrenees. In close proximity to: (i) Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park (ii) Alt Pirineu Natural Park (iii) Noguera Pallaresa River For ski enthusiasts, the apartment is very close to several ski resorts: (i) Baqueira Beret: Only 15 minutes from the La Peülla chairlift. (ii) Espot Esquí: Only 20 minutes from the resort. (iii) Port Ainé: 45 minutes away.

Being in the center of town has access on foot to all services. Ideal for families, couples, friends, adventurers, it offers snow, adventure and river sports, fishing, mushrooms, hiking, flora and fauna observation or simply enjoying the silence of the river and the mountains.

Our family attic in Esterri d'Àneu sleeps up to 6 guests in three bedrooms. There are 2 bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. There are mountain views from all rooms. We'll be happy to answer any of your questions about the property, local activities and surrounding area. Within 20 minutes there are 2 ski resorts, Baquiera Beret and Espot, a few kilometres further afield are the resorts of Port Ainé and Tavascan.
