Cliff's Cabin - authentic Montana retreat

Tucked into the woods at the end of the road just 13 minutes from the heart of town, this cabin is a treasure. Cliff built the place himself; each tree sawn on his tractor-powered sawmill. We added family antiques, new mattresses and original art (lotsa comfort and love). The covered porch is high in the trees with breathtaking views 1000 feet above the Yellowstone River. Construction halts during guest stays. Relax in front of the inside fireplace or enjoy the crackling sound and smell of a wood burning fireplace in the outdoor pavilion .

The cabin sits next to our main home & small homestead. We often provide fresh eggs from the chickens & seasonal goods from the garden. The goats will entertain you for days & the stunning mountain view never never gets old.

Chico Peak cabin nr Yellowstone/Chico Hot Springs

One bedroom apartment attached to what once was a historic log bar now an art gallery and frame shop. This business is closed for summer of 2025. The apartment is spacious, about 500 sq ft with sliding door opening to a large deck with table and chairs, propane BBQ, and views of mountains. Lounge chairs are available in the warmer months. It is an ideal location, so close to Chico Hot Springs, 4-5 restaurants and bars, fishing, hiking and the quaint western town of Livingston!

It's location halfway between historic Livingston, MT and the north gates of Yellowstone in Gardiner, MT make it the perfect home base for trips into the park, to Chico & Yellowstone Hot springs, hiking, cross country skiing, rafting or just relaxing and enjoying the views. The Paradise Valley is 60 miles of stunning landscape and wilderness and schoolhouse is right in the middle of it all.
