Pop’s Country Cabin is a small remote cabin that sits 1/2mile off the road above a 5 acre lake on 77 acres of private land. The view from the front porch is amazing! You can sit, unwind, and watch the wildlife with a distant view of Bald Knob Cross. The cabin sits in the heart of Shawnee National Forrest and the Southern IL wine trail. You can enjoy the fire pit while watching the stars, with no distractions from neighbors, traffic, or lights. You can enjoy catch & release fishing from the bank

Enjoy tiny farmhouse life in this adorable 375 sq. foot cottage. Loaded with everything you need this little cottage is nestled privately behind some trees on our 11 acre farm. You will soon forget how close you are to town with the beautiful view from your windows and the pasture fence just steps out the back door. Whether you’re here for the wineries, amazing hiking, an SIU event (3 miles) or to visit with family, the Homestead Cottage will provide a comfortable retreat from any adventure.

Shady Lakes Escape

Our home offers a park-like setting, including a swing off of the pole barn, firepit, & Charcoal grill. The nicely decorated interior has stained concrete floors, 2 full-size bathrooms-one with a double-head shower and attached closet/laundry room. The master suite has a king size bed w/tv. The second bedroom has a queen size bed w/tv. The living/kitchen area is an open concept w/plenty of room for a queen blowup mattress (included). A perfect setting for watching the abundance of wildlife.

Tiny Cottage of Whittington

This cozy tiny home is located a little over one mile off of Interstate 57 and within two miles of Rend Lake. Whether traveling through and needing an easy one night stay or a weekend getaway, this is the place for you. Located in the quiet village of Whittington, the property has great access to the area while providing a peaceful stay on the edge of the country. Our property has multiple rental buildings, but there is plenty of parking space for anyone traveling with a pickup and trailer.

Our local area has many hiking opportunities to explore, the Southern Illinois Wine Trail surrounds us, and the back roads have country views that are breathtaking. Our cabin will be waiting for your arrival or return, well equipped with a 55" TV above the gas fireplace, a comfortable King size bed, and an amazing back porch with a Weber Grill and huge hot tub.

We are located on a quiet street within walking distance of all Carbondale has to offer – Downtown Carbondale, restaurants and pubs (.8 miles), the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale (.5 miles), Carbondale Civic Center (.8 miles), Amtrak Station (.9 miles), and SIU (1.1 miles).

Thank you for checking out The Walnut House. It’s a roomy and comfortable 2 bed 1 bath house in the middle of town. Within walking distance are several restaurants, many local shops, two grocery stores - one with a great deli! The city park has a walking trail, shady picnic areas, a public pool, and tennis and paddleball courts will be completed soon. Come settle in and enjoy a quiet safe small town get-away!

The Cabin is nestled in the woods, a few hundred feet from a beautiful private lake. If it's total solitude you are looking for, this is the place. Keyless entry makes it perfect if you want total privacy. If you want lake access, come down and have coffee with us for orientation. Our pantry items, coffee, granola, half & half, and spices are perfect for your full-service kitchen.

Less than 1/4 mile from the fairgrounds. If you’re in town for an event or just visiting you will have everything you need. Enjoy a brand new kitchen. Washer and dryer. Walk in shower. King bed. The living room has two pull out queen sleeper sofas, and also a Day Bed. Sits one on one acre with plenty of parking for your RV, boat, any size trailer. There is also a 2 car garage.
