Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

Burnside is situated near the small village of Edmundbyers in the North Pennines. We offer fully equipped apartments with an excellent English breakfast available also. All set in beautiful grounds, and plenty of off street parking. Minimum stay 2 nights. There is also the delightful stone built Wayside Holiday Cottage in the heart of Edmundbyers. With a log burner, charming stone and wood features throughout and a stunning mezzanine bedroom. Minimum stay 3 nights.

Grange Cottage

The Grange is a very large cottage which can now sleep up to 11 people in four bedrooms. Over the last few months, we have done a lot of work to upgrade this cottage. We have replaced the main bathroom, and fitted a new kitchen (now with a dishwasher !!) Originally, this was 2 cottages, and we have now repurposed the second living room to be another double bedroom. If you have a large group of people, there is another table and more chairs in the cottage.

South facing with stone walled garden, from which you can survey a spectacular view 20 miles deep and 35 miles wide over the Tyne valley. The cottage is at 700 feet above sea level and you feel you are on the roof of England. It is situated in a quiet rural location 2 miles from both Hexham and Corbridge and half an hour from Newcastle.
