Situated in the grounds of the owner’s working farm, who are on hand to offer advice on the local area, the cottages are in an excellent central location on the Tipperary/Offaly border, almost equidistant from the picturesque town of Birr, 7½km, and one of the oldest towns in Ireland, Roscrea, 6km, and a 2km drive from Gloster house and wedding venue.

The cabin has a double bed and a sofa bed ideal for children or young teenagers. an additional air mattress can be placed in the mezzanie, please request this if required. Enjoy the quiet setting located 5mins walk from Whitegate Beach, Lough Derg. You can enjoy short walks 5km or long walks up to 15km within the Whitegate region. The Cabin is cosy ideal for a couple to sit back and relax. You have many options available within a 5km radius to enjoy a nice meal and a bottle of wine or a beer.

A 1.5 bedroom traditional cottage that is attached to our main house but separate & private. It has all you need for a restful, wonderful stay in a fabulous part of East Clare. There is tons of old world character yet it’s also has a fast fibre broadband for those who need to stay connected or for nights in watching Netflix. The property is close to some great pubs and restaurants and the stunning Lough Durg with wonderful walks and lots to do in this part of Ireland. Also we love dogs! 🥰

Nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of East Clare, retreat from the busyness of life to a unique experience in nature. It’s a really beautiful space with trees and a small forest. This semi off grid yurt is designed to provide you with comfort. The yurt is attached to a private kitchenette and a small bathroom with hot shower and a toilet. Charming 15th Century Castle

Built in the late 1400s, Grantstown Castle has been lovingly restored and mixes medieval architecture with modern comforts. The Castle Is Rented In Its Entirety and caters for up to Six Guests. The castle is comprised of six floors, connected via a stone and oak spiral staircase. There are three double bedrooms and one single. The castle has great battlements which are accessible at the top of the staircase and host amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

Ballindooley Castle

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels

Fully off grid experience including solar powered hot water and a modern Scandinavian dry (compost) toilet. Upon arrival you are provided with a fully charged battery, powered by solar panels on the roof and a reservoir of treated rainwater harvested on the roof for washing.
