Ruby the Red Caboose

Stay in a REAL train car in historic Virginia City, NV. Authentic 1950s caboose converted into a private guest suite that captures the glory days of train travel. Enjoy the famous 100-mile view from the cupola as you sip your coffee in the morning or your cocktail in the evening. Watch the steam engine (or the wild horses) go by from your private covered deck. Miner

The Miner cabin is small & cozy with one room and a full bath with shower. There is a counter with a two eye burner plug-in stove, microwave, toaster, Keurig, and a mini fridge. Coffee, creamer, sugar, salt, pepper, basic cookware, and dishes are supplied. The cabin sits as one of six across from the historic Paxton Lodge. It is walking distance to the beautiful Feather River and our private sand beach. We have a few walking/hiking trails on the property, or drive to others. Lawn games and more!

Harmony Mountain Retreat

If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil escape, you are looking at the right spot. Nestled beneath whispering conifers and oaks, this cabin boasts of beautiful mountain and valley views. Trails for hiking and premier mountain biking in the Tahoe National Forest; simply open your door and begin your adventure. Short drive to Nevada City and Yuba River; 45 minutes to ski slopes in the Sierras. The custom 600 sq. ft. private studio with a gas fireplace is fully equipped for up to 4 guests.

The Valley House, Unit 1

Unit 1 is half of a two-unit apartment hotel centrally located and within walking distance to restaurants in beautiful Sierraville. Yes, we do have Internet. Unit One is ADA-compliant with a large bedroom and bathroom. It's perfect for a family vacation with a sofa bed in the living room. From The Valley House, you can walk to Sierraville's two fantastic restaurants and it's a beautiful bike or car ride to Sierra Valley Hot Springs Resort, for all-day soaks, spa experiences and organic dining.

Playful Mountain Sunset Escape

Starting from two cargo containers, this home was built to be a seamless space to enjoy the outdoors without sacrificing any luxuries while you play. Designed to be an off-grid, sustainable home, this house features a movable glass wall, which opens the living room into the outdoors facing the setting sun. Beautiful native landscaping surrounds a basketball court and covered dining area. Indoors, natural light and a playful spark runs throughout with a second story hammock to enjoy it all!

Little Desert Oasis

You’re invited to experience our Sweet Little Desert Oasis right in the heart of the Historic Comstock Gold District (15 minutes from Virginia City). This separate home is very private and in a quiet location. Ready to accommodate 2 adults (no children please). It is completely renovated with clean, neat furnishings, a fully stocked kitchen, and bathroom. Sleep on a comfortable queen sized bed under a homemade quilt. We look forward to sharing our little slice of heaven with you.

Wilson’s Log Cabin

This sweet little cabin sleeps two, and has room to set up tents, park your RV, and your boat or trailer. (Pricing for these additional options and guests will vary.) The quaint 12’x20’ space is a must see given its proximity to Bullards Bar Reservoir. Only a 6 minute drive to Dark Day boat launch!! It’s ideal for spending the day on the lake and the night in the cabin. Located conveniently on Highway 49, between Nevada City and Downieville, makes for the perfect little getaway.

Indian Valley Cottage (Retreat)

This is a 570 sq ft building with BR, BA and living area. It is located in beautiful Indian Valley. Lots of wildlife including deer, turkey, bear, and geese. The Kitchenette has a coffee and tea maker, refrigerator, hot plate, electric skillet and microwave, and should have enough tools for you to make simple meals. I also provide a grill on the patio, some outdoor furniture so guests may enjoy coffee, tea, in the morning or another beverage while watching the stars at night.
