Cheerful 3 bedroom cottage on the Allegheny River

We built the summer cottage in 2006, for a summer home stayed on. We lived in the cottage 8 years when we wanted a bigger house. We love it year around. We are isolated with 3 neighbors (not close) and the river at our front door. Good boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming , hiking, bird watching (with a eagle nest across the river). December through February, it is best if you come with 4 wheel drive. Having said that , we keep the road plowed and the hill sanded.

Whether you are looking to hike a trail in Clear Creek State Forest, ride your bike on the Allegheny River Trail, take in the view of Freedom Falls, or simply relax on the deck and enjoy the sounds of nature, there are an abundance of activities for you to enjoy in and around Kennerdell, PA. We are located 11 miles off of Interstate 80 & 12 miles off of State Route 322.

Cottage with Private Allegheny River Access

"Bearly Affordable", located along the Allegheny River nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The cottage offers private river frontage for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing. Cottage sleeps 6 and has most of the amenities of home including air conditioning, forced air heat, wood stove, well and septic. Additional staying quarters located in an adjacent cedar Cub House which has 4 beds, 2 lofts, and air conditioning. Cub House Closed for Season. Opens back up April 1st.

Great location for hiking, near the Oil Region Allegheny Bike trail, Allegheny River and East Sandy Creek. The surrounding woodland is great for hunting deer and turkey.
