Island hopping adventures abound with 4 ferries within a short drive offering day trips to Gigha, Islay, Jura, Arran and Cowal.

The Pod on the Hill

Situated approx.2.5 miles outside the village of Port Ellen, the POD offers peace, quiet and relaxation after exploring the distilleries and the joys of the Island. Port Ellen and Laphroaig can be seen from the POD which overlooks Kilnaughton Bay. The path to the three distilleries on this side of the Island starts in the village, taking you first to Laphroaig then Lagavulin , finishing at Ardbeg where delicious food is available. Come, find out for yourselves, a very warm welcome awaits you.

The lodge is also ideal for a golfing getaway, with 5 courses nearby and Machrihanish being known for having the best opening hole in the world.

The Wee House

The Wee House is a one bedroom seafront cottage looking onto Port Ellen. Sleeping up to 4 guests with a sofa bed (full size double) in the living room. Listing price is for 2 guests sharing the bedroom. If the sofa bed is required for bookings of 2 guests please let us know as there is an extra charge (£10 per night). The cottage is within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants and near to the distillery path taking you to Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.

The cottage was built around 1890 to house the Ploughman for Goatfield Farm, and has been extensively remodelled to create a unique getaway. Cala Fearnadh is a new, unique, off-grid cottage in a quiet village, with stunning sea views of Staffa and the Treshnish Isles, and beyond. There is nothing quite like it anywhere on the island! Electric power is 12 volt, generated by a combination of solar and wind energy. Water comes from the tranquil Loch Assapol, which supplies much of the area.
