The upstairs consists of 2 double bedrooms, the front room a lovely sumptuous double bed, the back bedroom another double divan style bed with superior bedding. The Cottage is in Town Yetholm amidst the spectacular scenery of the Cheviot Hills fantastically placed for walking, biking.

A space to rest and relax in the Scottish Borders

Part of a Steading (barn) sympathetically converted in 2006, overlooking woods and fields from its own enclosed garden. The cottage is ideaI for exploring the Scottish Borders and Northumberland. One hour by car from Edinburgh, 35 mins from Lindisfarne and 45 mins from Bamburgh. If you'd like to leave the car at home and cycle to us it is 13 miles from the station at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Tucked away down a small lane, you can walk or cycle from the door or simply sit and watch the wildlife.

The village has everything you need; pub, small shop, butcher and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and walking routes up the Cheviot Hills. This cottage is perfect for couples or small families who are looking for a peaceful setting to unwind, relax and enjoy the natural countryside. It is also an ideal base for hikers on the Pennine Way and cyclists completing the Borderloop Cycle Route.

Shiell cottage is situated on a working farm in the heart of the Scottish Borders close to the picturesque towns of Kelso and Melrose yet less than an hours drive from Edinburgh and the beautiful Northumberland/ Berwickshire coastline. An ideal base from which to explore the many historic and scenic attractions found in this part of Scotland. The cottage is spacious,modern, fully equipped and decorated to a high standard. It has a wood burning stove and patio doors leading on to decking.
