The Nissen

The Nissen is a spacious, light filled two bedroom holiday house overlooking the historic town of Castlemaine, aptly named for its resemblance to a World War II Nissen Hut. Enjoy the comfort of a wood fire and split system, fully equiped kitchen, and expansive views from the open plan living area. Wonderfully private and secluded considering its convenient central location, and featuring all modern appliances. Guests can expect to be greeted by our inquisitive array of farm pets, including highland cows, sheep & chooks.

Granny's Cottage at Yandoit

Welcome to Granny's Cottage. This is the second building featured on Restoration Australia bringing the former Gervasoni Swiss-Italian buildings on site back to their former glory. This is a heritage listed property has been lovingly restored with beautiful vistas inside and out. Enjoy toasty warmth in winter with open fire and hydronic heating in Winter and a very cool converted cellar in Summer inside. The beautiful views from the deck are perfect for a bbq or enjoying the spa.

Arda Cluggen - on 200 acres near Daylesford.

Named after an Irish village in County Cork, Arda Cluggen is a double storey mud brick home that welcomes 10 guests and more for a cosy inviting retreat. Situated high up on 200 acres of rolling hills, it commands stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It is the perfect place for you to relax with family and friends and well behaved pets! The cathedral ceiling, stone chimney, solid timbers, a Ned Kelly wood heater and large open fire all add to the country experience.

Union House c.1861

Union House is a unique part of Castlemaine's history. Built in the early 1860's in the central area of the town, it is a minutes walk from all the town's attractions- the galleries, restaurants, hotels, theatre, boutiques, supermarket, and easy walking distance to the gardens, regional parks, railway station, and the Woollen Mill complex. The cottage has been recently renovated to amalgamate its historic features with contemporary comforts and luxurious appointments.
