The Count House at Okel Tor Mine - A cosy pet-friendly retreat for 2 with log fire, river views, romantic ruins and wildlife, situated within 16 acres of woodland on the tidal reaches of The River Tamar within the World Heritage Site & AONB. Ten minutes walk from the village of Calstock with its 2 dog-friendly pubs, cafe, art gallery, arts centre & branch line railway station. The National Trust's Cotehele is a 40 minute walk along the riverbank. All bookings include cancellation insurance.

We welcome you to stay in our beautiful Edwardian terraced house in our the aptly named "Sunshine Room", within the riverside village of Calstock, a World Heritage Site and within the Tamar Valley AONB. A perfect spot for peaceful relaxation and walking the many trails through the valley (less than 5 minutes from the back door). Only 40 minutes by car or train (on the scenic Tamar Valley Line!) from Plymouth city centre.
The Space. A small, cosy double Bedrooom in a 1850s miners cottage, the cottage faces the wooded valley, with river views in a beautiful secluded area. Guest facilities. Bedding and Towels . Shared spacious shower room. Parking for one car up steep bumpy footpath no street lighting. WiFi Use of large garden/BBQ Pick up from Calstock Station if traveling by train. (Property Unfortunately not suitable for children.)
