York is 20 min by car. Country Houses , Sledmere, Castle Howard and Burton Agnes are all within a 30 minute drive. Family/ friends, Male or Female groups welcome. The surprisingly spacious open-plan sitting room incorporates dining and has a sociably open-plan kitchen. Wi-Fi and Smart TV just in case! There is a cast iron gas stove for chilly days and French doors opening onto the verandah overlooking the lake. There are two double bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, the other with twin beds. The bathroom/WC has a large separate shower cubicle with a seat and handrail. A private fishing platform plus bank fishing is suitable for wheelchair users.

We are in the countryside but only 2 miles from local amenities. Pocklington is 2 miles, The beautiful city of York is 12 miles, the coast is only an hours drive.
