Our newly renovated cabin is situated in the middle of Islay, less than one mile from Bowmore - the main village. This quiet hideaway comes complete with open fields, sea views and a taste of life on the whisky isle. Enjoy a wee dram on the cabin's private decking which overlooks Bruichladdich's barley fields, or wander into the village and explore local shops with the aroma of Bowmore distillery filling the air. An island of experiences not to be missed.
Small room with sea view, a single pine bed 2m x 90cm, a wardrobe, desk and chair. The bathroom is across the hallway and down the stairs and may need to be shared with one other room if it is booked by someone as well. You can make your own continental breakfast and tea and coffee in my kitchen downstairs in the morning if you want to.
This is an artist's studio turned over to guests. The decor is neat and simple. Situated in a quiet private spot and overlooking the sea, the studio provides guests with total independence and has basic facilities for cooking. The village is a heritage site and has good places to eat out plus a local shop/post office/petrol pump. It is also a stop on the local bus route. Bikes are for hire nearby.
