Designed and built by our family, Fern Hollow was created to offer a peaceful outdoor experience with comfort in mind. Enjoy slow mornings on the covered deck with coffee in hand, evenings around the fire pit under the stars, and the quiet simplicity of unplugging from everyday life. While the cabin feels private, we are just minutes from Highway 102!

The Gillis Loft

The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place. Walking distance to downtown New Glasgow, Aberdeen hospital, the Samson trail and numerous restaurants. 20 min drive to Melmerby beach 25 to Pictou Ferry-Caribou beach. Located along the Pictou County Transit bus route. Enjoy this spacious apartment with a kitchen equipped for a chef. Lots of seating in the living room and a 65 inch TV. There are some toys and games for kids/adults and also a basketball net.

We can arrange for your children with an extra sleeping area on site or make room for extra guests upon special requests. The 2 minute walk from the back door through forest trail will bring you to the rustic tidal beach with a steel fire pit, always check local restrictions

Escape to The Watervale, a private adults-only (18+) retreat tucked among the trees at Watervale Springs Retreat. Designed for two, it's a place to slow down, reconnect and enjoy the quiet. Spend your evenings soaking in the private hot tub beneath the stars, relaxing by the fire table, or gathering around the shared wood-burning firepit. Inside you'll find a king-size bed, luxurious soaker tub with a rainfall shower, fully equipped kitchenette, and everything you need for a peaceful getaway.

The Property is located in Braeshore and just a short walk away from Pictou Lodge. Access to Graham's Pond and close to Caribou Park, beaches and walking trails. Spacious accommodations with a great view and place to relax outside and enjoy the nice weather. Quiet neighborhood with over an acre of land and plenty of privacy. Private entrance and plenty of space to park. Great area to kayak or canoe (equipment provided for a fee). No pets allowed. Please read house rules before booking.

This 3bed, 2bath home sleeps 6 & is the perfect place to relax, entertain & explore. Rocky beaches, kayaking, riding your bike or watching the time go by. Sit around our custom fire pit & count the stars if you dare to try. Ride the bikes down to the water & pick sea glass. Wine Harbour is now the home to the Whale Sanctuary Project! Ah yes, life is truly good.

Oak and Aspen Cabin

Nestled among the oak trees, at the top of a riverbank, you'll find a beautiful handmade dovetail log cabin overlooking the East River. Come explore the 25 acre wooded property in Riverton with hundreds of feet of river front. The river offers wonderful swimming and fishing opportunities with three great salmon holes within a 5 minute walk from the cabin. The cabin is a work of art and has all the amenities you need to make your stay comfortable. It is a 5 minute hike to access the cabin.

The Loft - walking distance to downtown.

The Loft at the Gingerbread House is a small, seasonal studio space above a carriage house. As a more-affordable option to a hotel, it is the perfect spot to rest for a night or 2 as you explore Nova Scotia. Suitable for 2 people (pls note there are no kitchen facilities), this unique landmark is in close proximity to all of the conveniences of New Glasgow - including walking distance to the New Glasgow Farmer’s Market and many great local restaurants! Outside, unwind in the private hot tub, gather around the fire pit, or relax with a book in your favourite adirondack chair, and savor meals at the picnic table. Your perfect escape awaits amidst nature's beauty.

Private Hot Tub River Retreat

The “Kenzie B” cottage is a newly built cottage with unique features throughout like a sliding steel barn door, a steel shower and old barn beams along the ceiling. The covered veranda off the front of the cottage provides you with stunning views of the tidal river and a private hot tub overlooks the river as well. Swim, boat, float, whatever you wish, the river awaits! We also have a motorized floating picnic table for rent if you'd like to explore the river some more.
