The cottage accomodation is totally private set in a beautiful garden setting in the grounds of the historic school house built in 1876. 20 minutes to Methven and 1 hour to Christchurch international Airport. Not suitable for infants/children.

Homebush Cottage is part of the 130 year old former Homebush School, located on the Southern Scenic Route, 8kms from Darfield township and close to popular Skifields, Lakes and amazing tourist destinations, thus making us the perfect stopover. The cottage is set on 3 acres including beautiful rambling gardens and tennis court. The Cottage is super comfy and suitable for a couple. We provide a self catering continental breakfast including free range eggs from Brown Shavers !!!

Our holiday retreat has been perfectly set up to accommodate two families or a group of friends. You are on the outskirts of the village yet only a short 10 minute walk to the centre of Methven where you will find restaurants, cafes, pubs and supermarkets and only a 5 minute walk to Opuke Hot Pools. This is a warm and spacious house with incredible panoramic views of Mt Hutt and the Southern Alps. A perfect ski base, relaxing retreat or weekend country getaway.

Welcome to Thistle Cottage, a peaceful two-bedroom standalone cottage set in beautiful park-like surroundings on our small farm. Meander up the tree-lined driveway to your own private retreat. Just 5km from Ashburton and Lake Hood, we're perfectly located for wedding guests or a relaxing rural getaway. Beautifully appointed Bedroom 1 has a king bed; Bedroom 2 can be two singles or a super king. Not suitable for children under 8.
