A warm welcome from Karen and Mike awaits you at The Wee Nook, near Loch Ness . We are centrally located in a peaceful area from which you can explore the highlands of Scotland and beyond. We are situated just off the A831 approximately 4 miles West of Drumnadrochit, where you will find a Co-op, Post Office, medical practice, pharmacy, petrol station, gift shops, visitor centre, public library, an ATM, cafe's, bistro, pubs/restaurants. Our short term let licensing number is HI-51249-F

Secluded Ptarmigan Yurt

For the first time since we installed it we are opening for the winter months as there are a lot of people around and the weather at the moment is quite warm. To do this we have installed a small oil heater which will keep the temperature up even when the fire is not lit. Once you light the fire it will be really cosy and warm. There is also an electric blanket on the bed for those colder nights. We do reserve the right to move you to the house if the weather becomes inclement.

Urquhart Bay Barn

Urquhart Bay Barn, situated at the Urquhart Bay Viewpoint, is a charming and spacious self-catering renovation, with two bedrooms (one can be either two single beds or a king size bed), completed to a very high standard, with stunning views across Loch Ness and Glen Urquhart from the dining area window and gardens. We are just a few minutes walk from the iconic Urquhart Castle. The Barn itself is built with stone taken from Urquhart Castle in the late 1800s.

Meiklie Lodge offers the larger family or group a fantastic holiday experience. With 4 bedrooms Meiklie Lodge sleeps 8 very comfortably and is an ideal base for your family and friends holiday here in the very heart of the highlands. The lodge has under floor heating, two good sized bathrooms . Sky + TV, loads of DVDs The kitchen has a large dining table to seat 8, a range style cooker, dishwasher, microwave, 2 fridges and a freezer.

Unlike many Loch Ness cottages, we are not on a road, just the garden between us and the Loch. You’ll love the panoramic views of Loch Ness, the idyllic location, private beaches, and total peace and quiet. 1 or 2 well behaved dogs (small or medium size) welcome. In July and August, Saturday arrivals/departures only.
