Hike right from the cottage to the summit of Mt Battie or Mt Megunticook using the Sagamore Farm trail behind the property. Located in Big Bonne Bay Pond on the Viking Trail between Gros Morne National Park and Deer Lake where you can enjoy the backcountry trails right from the door step. Open year round and everything you need so you can travel light. There's a gas station, convenience store, liquor store, lounge and restaurant right next door. Contact us for options that suit you.

Powley's Wild Goose Lodge

Wild Goose Lodge was originally built as a hunting lodge. There are four large main floor two bedroom units with full bathroom and kitchen. The rear decks have BBQs and large outdoor cookers for your lobster feast. This is a very private and quiet location overlooking the fishing village of French River. There is a fire pit with wood provided and horseshoe pits for your use. There is also badmington/volley ball equipment as well as many other outdoor games to play.

Forest Cabin at Lantern Camp Orland

Come enjoy the wonder of natural places from the comfort of carefully designed, Scandinavian-modern cabins. Nestled in the upland woods above rolling wild blueberry hills just 45 minutes from Acadia Park, the 12 Forest Cabins offer cozy sleeping for four, including 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds (bunked), kitchenette w/mini fridge, table, picnic table, fire pit, and 4 Adirondack chairs. Access a bathhouse with 3 private full bathrooms and a shared sauna.

The Lodge Room #5 at Cabot Shores

Pet-friendly and wheelchair accessible Lodge Room #5 has a queen and a twin bed, a private bathroom, a deck outside and free wifi. Many guests choose us as a homebase for exploring Cape Breton and the Cabot Trail. You can also bring your furry friend for an additional $15 a night. We rent kayaks, canoes and paddle boards and have a Bistro on site. Hot tubs are available to rent for an additional fee (must reserve 24 hours in advance).

Lodge Room 2 (140 sq. ft.) is located upstairs in Whiff's Lodge. It has a double bed, a full bath, and air-conditioning. WiFi is available throughout lodge and in your room. A perfect room for a couple or a solo traveler. Linens, towels, soap, and shampoo provided. Pet-free for those with allergies.
