Restored 200 Year Old Church

Bookeen Hall is a 200 year old restored church about 20 mins from Galway City and within easy reach of the Cliffs of Moher, The Burren and Connemara. We are a short drive from Lignum (restaurant). We offer a private room (with 1 king size bed and 1 single bed) with a private bathroom. For larger groups there is a second room (with 1 king size bed), so we can accommodate up to 5. The nearest train station is 8 miles away in Athenry. We live here with our dogs and look forward to meeting you!

Clifden Farmhouse is in a fantastic location in the peaceful Connemara countryside with unbeatable views of the 12 Bens yet only a 7 min walk to Clifden town center with its wonderful restaurants and bars and easy access to the many stunning beaches. Mary, the host, has been hosting guests in her home for over 20 years but has only recently joined AirBNB and is keen to welcome back guests. Private, ensuite room available, cereals, yoghurts and toast available on request in guest lounge.

Our house is located on top of the cliff (but a safe 80m from the edge!) overlooking Liscannor Bay, 1 km south of Hags Head where the trailhead for the Cliffs of Moher Coastal walk begins. I am the fifth generation of our family who has the privilege of living in this Wild Atlantic Outpost. I am happy to share our home and our history with you.

Close proximity to the Michael Cusack Centre, Burren Perfumery, Poulnabrone Dolmen , Caherconnell and Cahercommaun Forts. Some of the most beautiful walks begin in Carron which are mapped out to hike on your own. My home is next to the Cusack Way walk. Our guest room has beautiful unspoilt views of the Atlantic where you can watch the waves crash against the coastline and if you are lucky enough you might even see some dolphins! Our room has its own Private entrance and large private bathroom. We provide a mini fridge, Tea and coffee making facilities.

Own car ESSENTIAL (not suitable for cyclists/pedestrians as no public transport nearby. It takes nearly 2 hrs to walk from Doolin or Lahinch) Minimum 2 nights stay. Apologies, no children or dogs. One of 3 rented rooms in our home. Single bunk beds in private room. Shared kitchen, Sitting room and bathroom. 10 minutes drive to Doolin, Lahinch, the Burren National Park and the Cliffs of Moher. Continental breakfast included.

The house is situated on a very quiet little road (cul-de-sac) about 5 miles from the picturesque village of Kinvara, 4 miles from Labane and 7 miles from Gort. The location is ideal if you are traveling along the Wild Atlantic Way and you're looking for a quiet night. Kinvara has several restaurants and pubs with music sessions on most evenings. PLEASE NOTE: This property is not suitable for children under the age of 6 years.
