Mahjong lesson and tea tasting in an NYC photo studio

New York City's mahjong scene has been blowing up recently, but you have to know where to look to find yourself at a table. Join me in my Brooklyn photo studio, where I’ve gathered many friends to learn and play mahjong, and I’ll teach you the ins and outs of this ancient game. • Once you settle in, I’ll pour tea for everyone and tell you a little bit about the game's history. Then I’ll walk you through the basic game—aka chicken hand—rules. • Next, start up a game! I’m prepared to teach total beginners, answering questions and offering guidance throughout. If folks catch on quick or already have some familiarity, I can teach / play the more advanced Hong Kong points-style game. • As you play, I’ll document our gathering with a 3D film camera that creates unique, holographic GIFs. You’ll leave with the mahjong basics, a holographic portrait, and recommendations on where to find some great Asian eats in this part of Brooklyn, if competition has whetted your appetite. ***Please note: the experience requires at least three booked guests, as mahjong requires 4 players!

Discover the world of hip-hop dance, focusing on iconic moves that originated in New York City, in this engaging break-dancing class with me, Kid Glyde, a crew member of the Dynamic Rockers. • We’ll start with a dynamic warm-up to build strength and flexibility before I lead you in an in-depth breaking lesson, with multiple technique variations learned from some of the greats. • You’ll put on gear that represents New York’s hip-hop culture from the ’80s, and practice your creative exercises solo and with a partner. • We’ll wrap up with a freestyle and battle, where you’ll take what you learned and put your new skills to the test. Line Dance Lessons in Nashville

We’ll start out your lesson with a beginners level dance that will get your blood pumping on the dance floor. Then we teach an intermediate level line dance to challenge your dance skills. We will always try to move at the group’s pace. We’ll also review what you have learned and take a video for you to have as a Nashville Keepsake. ** Other things to note: - If we are booked or don’t have a time slot available, please reach out. We will always try to accommodate your group! - We utilize two separate venues, within a block of each other on Broadway downtown. The Tiny Cupboard's Stand Up Comedy Show

We will go to an abandoned former church in Brooklyn. The show starts and we'll see 5-7 up and coming comics (some great from Netflix, Comedy Central, SNL, and some perhaps still working on improving things) performing 5-10 minute sets. Please don't write a bad review because you didn't like one of the comedians! We book hundreds of comedians for different people and everyone has a different sense of humor. Also, some comics may have material that's adult-oriented, so keep that in mind if you want to bring teens. Follow the meeting location instructions to find it.

Philly's favorite bars and secret spots

This experience captures a piece of the Philly culture and is lined up so that every stop is a hop and skip away from the next. With this tour we skip every line and pay no covers. It’s 4- 5 (dependent on group size) of our favorite bars with a secret bar or speakeasy along the tour; That even people that live in the city don’t know about. Learn how to walk on circus peg stilts

This is an amazing confidence building experience for people of all ages, learn about your body, mind, your ability to learn itself and how to overcome fear! Despite appearing death defying this activity is safe and accessible! Your brain already knows how to do this! Learn the art of circus peg stilt walking! All equipment (stilts, padding, and clothing) will be provided, I possess all different sizes for all different types of people. This is an activity any brave person can learn well within an hour! Guests will be assisted (helped getting up and watched by a spotter) with their initial attempts on short 1.5ft stilts (most people learn well enough to free roam in 30 minutes or less) and can even move on to additional heights and even funny funky stilt pants to create the effect. If at the end you enjoyed the stilt walking and want to continue learning I will give you a discount on a handmade quality pair of wood stilts made by myself in my woodshop. Note: although it says 1.5 hours long for the class, if there are more than 2 guests I will likely need extra time to spot and teach everyone in a single session. This does not cost extra. Please budget time accordingly!
