Our Curious | Opossum Hollow

Welcome to Opossum Hollow in the quaint mountain town of Travelers Rest! Our partially restored 1984 Airstream Excella, lovingly referred to as `Possum Holler', is situated on the same property as our home. With a covered space for parking and a 35 foot skylight deck, this outdoor space is designed for cool evening lounging and warm afternoon napping. We worked with a number of local artisans to design and create the entire space, ensuring most every element is handmade, upcycled, and recycled!

This unique newly constructed all electric 525 sq foot elevated structure offers a wrap around deck for an ever changing view. King size bed & new technology foam offers complete comfort in separate climate controlled bedroom. Heated bathroom floor is a “warm” surprise. Optional seasonal outdoor shower for the adventurous. Kitchen lacks nothing tucked conveniently in the great room.

Only minutes to Winchester the location is convenient to restaurants and shopping yet you’ll feel like you have been transported back in time to a working homestead where you can interact with all the animals.

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. This beautiful Vermont home sits on 25 acres with spectacular views. We moved this sugar house structure to this land and had an architect adapt it to its surroundings. It has three walls of windows that display the amazing views. The house is surrounded by Mount Anthony hiking trails and a gorgeous pond. The location is a 5 minute drive to town or a lovely 20 minute walk.
